Branded digital assets that are wearable in the metaverse are becoming increasingly common and Nike is taking metaverse marketing to the next level with branded digital avatars Nikeland on Roblox. The experience lets players create their own branded digital avatars as a representation of their in-game identity, and players can even build out their own yard as a space for showing off even more Nike-branded items from the game.
The virtual yard is a space that can be curated with a wide variety of branded sports items for playing tennis, basketball, soccer, practicing gymnastics and more.
Beyond Nikeland, Nike is building cross-world virtual ambassadors by giving players the ability to show off their style and love of sports in other Roblox environments.
