Solar panels require regular maintenance and cleaning to keep them capturing the sun’s energy effectively but this can be a tricky process, so the ‘HELIOS’ solar panel cleaning system is intended to provide an effective solution.
Developed by ART Robotics, the system works by utilizing drone technology to fly up onto the solar panels before dropping out the cleaning module. This would start the cleaning process, which could be performed quite quickly and without any effort compared to manual alternative methods.
The ‘HELIOS’ solar panel cleaning system could help to drastically reduce equipment downtime and ensure that it’s always capturing as much energy as possible throughout the season. The system is being made available now as part of a Kickstarter campaign.
